An uncompromising and unique beachside home, set over three levels with great ocean views over a large balcony on the first level. Cars are parked in the basement, with architectural exposed off-form concrete and feature framing.

Our Projects

Woodlands Residence
This existing single storey property has had a massive update with an architecturally designed addition. The plan area of the existing propert y was increased, and a second storey added to greatly increase the property size. The property contains several feature elements such as rammed earth feature walls, visible both internaly and externally, and vaulted ceilings. We provided full structural d esign and documentation for this project. The structure is typically formed from load bearing cavity masonry with a suspended concrete slab and a timber roof. The rammed earth feature walls were engineered to be load - bearing and provide support to both th e suspended slab and roof, utilising its inherent strength and reducing the amount of additional structure required. South Beach Promenade Residence, South Fremantle
Architecturally designed alterations plus a large extension to an existing single storey residence which created a large open plan living space. We provided full structural design and documentation for this project. The structural philosophy of the existi ng property was continued with new concrete slab on ground and cavity masonry walls. Due to its poor condition, the entire existing roof was replaced with new which included new timber elements and steel support beams where required. Architect: David Barr www.caststudio.com.au
Iluka Residence
An architecturally designed double storey residence; this new build features a double height entrance, a large open plan living space, and a triple garage. We provided full structural design and documentation for this project. To meet architectural intent the ground floor structure comprises of a masonry and Hebel cavity wall system that supports a suspended concrete first floor slab. Lightweight ste el framed walls form the upper storey with a Hebel outer leaf to minimise weight whilst providing continuity with the ground floor finish.
